Who You'll Work With
I spent more than twelve years at the Polk County Treasurer's office in Des Moines. For most of them I ran the county's investment portfolio and its daily cash position, along with the commercial banking relationship. My last two years there I was the office's chief executive. That meant four division leaders, more than sixty staff serving the public every day, and the budget and strategic plan that kept it all running.
Before the county I was an investment officer at the Iowa State Treasurer, and before that I worked in policy service at ING. I studied at Drake University.
A lot of that work was fixing process. I ran the county office's Kaizen program and wrote the scripts that took manual steps out of its daily routine. As chief executive I went through the procedures in every division to make them faster or bring them in line with a new statute. Public money leaves no room for a system nobody can explain, and I build the same way now.
In 2024 I started building Zoninga, a personal finance app. Service Robotics came out of that work. It runs on AI agents with me approving anything that matters, so what I tell clients about running AI safely comes from running it on my own businesses first.
You talk to me on the first call and I do the work. That limits how many clients I take on at once, and it's why the prices on this site can stay fixed.
